What are all the Jibble Bot and slash commands?

Clock in/out, track your time, receive alerts or check the log with the Jibble Bot

Integrate Jibble with Slack to interact with Jibble by using the Jibble Bot (Slack) or by using /jibble slash commands (Slack only).

Here’s a full list of all the Jibble Bot and slash commands with more details below.

  • in – start recording time

  • out – stop recording time

  • break – start a break

  • all – see who’s working

  • times – check your weekly timesheets

  • log – check your daily logs/timesheets

  • acts – list activities that you can record time against

  • projects – list projects that you can record time against

  • help – Displays help

  • contact – send the Jibble support team a help request or feedback

in

Time starts recording when you clock into the @jibble bot:

in

or the slash command (Slack):

/jibble in

To clock in with activity, project, and/or notes:

/in [activity code] [project code] [notes]

Another useful shortcut is:

in last

This would use the last jibble in the command used. An easy way of continuing on from where you left off.

To transfer to another activity, simply clock into the new activity.

Aliases: jibblein, clockin, checkin, punchin can be used for the same command.

To skip adding an activity, project, or notes when clocking in, add 0 in the command string, for example, when skipping activities:

in 0 [project code] [notes]

and when skipping projects:

in [activity code] 0 [notes]

out

Time stops recording when you clock out to the @jibble bot:

out

or the slash command (Slack):

/jibble out

You can also add some notes to a jibble out. For example you could explain why you worked so hard and late into the night 🙂

out [notes when clocking out]

IMPORTANT: you don’t need to clock out then clock in to transfer to another activity. Simply clock in to the new activity and time will stop on the previous activity.

Aliases: jibbleout, clockout, checkout, punchout can be used for the same command.

all

To check who’s working and on what use the command all.

You can use the filters in or out too. Quite useful if you have a large team and want to focus on seeing what everyone is working on only. For example:

all [in] [out]

Aliases: people, members, status can be used for the same command.

times

View your daily timesheet totals for the current week using the command times.

You can also use a filter with this command (i.e. a negative number).

  • For example, -1 to see the previous week or -2 for… you guessed it 2 weeks ago.

If you’re an admin you can see your team members times too using their username as a filter, and even a relative week.

times -1 @tony

The above example would list the weekly timesheet for Tony for the previous week.

Aliases: timesheets, week can be used for the same command.

log

Get a list of all your clock in and out entries for the day along with the total time with the command log.

You can also use a filter with this command too (i.e. a negative number). -3 would be 3 days ago.

If you’re an admin you can see your team members daily logs too using their username as a filter, and even a relative day.

log -3 @tony

The above example, typed into the @jibble bot, would list the daily entries for Tony from 3 days ago.

Aliases: day can be used for the same command.

acts

Activities or acts for short. The command acts is provided for your convenience as it outputs a numbered activities list that you can use as part of the in command. You can clock in against an activity over a @jibble bot conversation or by using the in command shortcuts.

You can also get personal times spent on activities by using the time and day | week | month filter.

acts time week -1

In the above example, the time recorded against your activities will be listed for the previous week.

Aliases: activities and tasks can be used for the same command.

projects

If you’re on the Ultimate plan, then you can record the time of the project. The command projects is provided for your convenience as it outputs a numbered projects list that you can use as part of the in command.

You can clock in against a project over a @jibble bot conversation or by using the in command shortcuts.

You can also get personal times spent on projects by using the time and day | week | month filter.

projects time month

In the above example, the time recorded against your projects will be listed for the current month.

help

This command lists out a quick help guide and if you need to contact support for further help you can use the contact command.

Aliases: info and ? can be used for the same command.
