How to set a default activity, project, and location?
Easily set a default activity, project, and location for faster and more efficient clock-ins
With Jibble’s desktop time tracker, you can set a default activity, project, and location to save time and ensure consistency. These selections will automatically apply whenever you clock in on the desktop app, streamlining your time tracking process.
Tip 💡: Combine this setting with automatic clock-in for a seamless time tracking experience. The Jibble app will open and clock you in with your default selections as soon as your computer starts.
Configuring default settings
Follow these steps to set your default activity, project, and location on the desktop app:
- Open the Jibble desktop app and log in to your account.
- Click on your profile or the gear icon at the bottom.
- Go to Settings > General.
- You’ll find three dropdown menus: Default activity, Default project and Default location.
- Click on each of the dropdown menus.
- Select the activity, project and location you most frequently use.
- Your selections will be saved automatically once selected.
How default settings work
- When you clock in via the desktop app, the Activity, Project, and Location fields will automatically populate with your default selections.
- You can change your default selections at any time by returning to the Settings tab.
- If no default options are set, you’ll be able to select an activity, project, and location each time you clock in.
