How do I track time in HubSpot?

Efficient time tracking is crucial for staying organized and productive in HubSpot. Whether you’re a marketer, salesperson, or manager, keeping tabs on your activities is essential. With Jibble’s Chrome time tracking extension, you can seamlessly integrate time tracking directly into your HubSpot workflow.

Installing Jibble’s Chrome Extension
- You can install the Jibble extension in one of the following ways:
- Via the Jibble Web App:
- Sign in to your Jibble account and locate the Get the app button on your dashboard.
- In the pop-up window, select Chrome Extension, which will take you to the Chrome Web Store page.
- Directly from the Chrome Web Store:
- Navigate to the Chrome Web Store and search for the Jibble Time Tracker extension.
- Via the Jibble Web App:
- Click the Add to Chrome button to install the extension.
- Once the extension is installed, an icon will appear in your browser’s toolbar.
- Click the puzzle piece icon in the top right corner of your Chrome toolbar to access the extension.
- Pin the Jibble Time Tracker by clicking the pin icon next to it, ensuring it’s easily accessible while using HubSpot.
Linking HubSpot and Jibble
- Click on the Jibble icon located in your Chrome toolbar.
- Sign in to your Jibble account, or if you’re new to Jibble, create a free account.
- Click on the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of the extension.
- Tap on Integrations.
- Ensure the checkbox for HubSpot is enabled.
Tracking time in HubSpot
After successfully installing and integrating Jibble’s timer extension with HubSpot, you’ll be able to conveniently track time directly within HubSpot using a variety of methods.
- Using the embedded Jibble timer
- Open up HubSpot and log in to your account.
- Go to the specific task, project or ticket within HubSpot that you want to track time for.
- Look for a Jibble in button within HubSpot, typically located near the task details.
- Click on the Jibble in button.
- A small pop-up window will appear, allowing you to select an activity and project if necessary.
- Notes will be automatically filled based on your task titles.
- Click Save to clock in.
- Once you’ve started tracking time, the timer button will automatically switch to Jibble out.
- When you’ve completed your work on the task, click on the Jibble Out button to clock out.
- Using keyboard shortcuts
- Click on the Jibble icon located in your browser’s toolbar.
- Navigate to the top-right corner and click on the three horizontal lines.
- Access the Settings option.
- Activate the toggle for Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Once enabled, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows) or Command+Shift+S (Mac) to initiate clocking in.
- Use the same keyboard commands to clock out when your work is completed.
Note: When utilizing keyboard shortcuts to clock in, the activity and project previously used (if any) will be automatically tagged. There won’t be any input for notes.
- Using right clicks
- Right click on your mouse and select Jibble | Clock in from the menu.
- To clock out, right click again and select Jibble | Clock out.
Note: With right click clock ins, the previously used activity and project (if any) will be automatically tagged. There won’t be any input for additional notes.
- Using text highlighting
- Go to the specific task, project or ticket within HubSpot that you want to track time for.
- Within the task or project details, highlight any text that you want to automatically convert into notes when clocking in.
- Perform a right-click with your mouse and choose “Jibble” from the menu.
- The clock-in screen will appear with your notes preloaded.
- If necessary, select an activity and project.
- Click Save to initiate the timer.
