Mobile App: Add and assign members to groups

Easily organize your members into specific groups

Jibble’s mobile timesheet app lets you add and assign team members to groups for easier management, allowing you to sort members based on locations, departments, or teams.

Members can only belong to one group at a time, while managers, admins, and owners can oversee multiple groups without being members themselves. This provides them with a general overview for better team management.

Important ❗: This feature is only available on the Premium and Ultimate plans.

There are some ways to add members to a group:

1) Create a Group and Add Members

2) Select Multiple People to Add to a Group

3) Individually Add Member to Group


1) Create a Group and Add Members

You can choose to bulk select and assign members to a newly created group.

Steps:

  1. Go to Menu > People.People settings on mobile
  2. Press and hold on a member’s name you would like to select.
  3. Select the members you would like to categorize into one group by tapping on the checkbox next to their profile pictures.Bulk select members to create a new group on mobile
  4. Tap Create new group and enter your new group name.Creating new group on mobile
  5. Tap Save.
  6. All selected members will now belong to this newly created group.

2) Select Multiple People to Add to a Group

If you already have an existing group, you can choose to bulk select and assign your team members to it.

Steps:

  1. Go to Menu > People.
  2. Press and hold on a member’s name you would like to select.
  3. Select the members you would like to add into the group by tapping on the checkbox next to their profile pictures.Bulk select members to move to other group on mobile
  4. Tap Move and select from the list of existing groups.Move members to another selected group on mobile
  5. Tap Done.
  6. All selected members will now belong to the selected group.

Note: If selected members were already in an existing group, they will be changed to the newly selected group after this. Payroll calculations could be affected after the change depending on the group settings.


3) Individually Add Member to Group

On a member’s profile, you can add a member to an existing group at any time.

Steps:

  1. Go to Menu > People.Move a member to other group on mobile
  2. Select a member to open their profile page. Alternatively, you can swipe left on their name and tap Move to select a group.Changing member's group via their profile on mobile
